In Chernivtsi region, heavy rains continue, significantly affecting border areas. Mountain roads are damaged, and traveling outside them has become dangerous. This information is reported by

Border guards are working under extreme conditions, and even representatives of the State Emergency Service had to be involved to assist in changing shifts.
Warning from meteorologists
According to meteorologists, on July 18-19, a rise in water level up to 2.5 meters is expected on the rivers of the Prut and Siret sub-basins. There is also a threat of mudflows in mountainous areas.
"We advise travelers to refrain from hikes as the rains do not stop," warn the border guards.
During the bad weather in Volyn region, lightning struck a residential building where a mother with three small children was present, causing a fire. In Odesa, on July 16, there was also a storm accompanied by strong winds that knocked down trees in the city.
From the report, it can be understood that severe weather continues in Chernivtsi region and other areas of Ukraine, which may pose a threat to the life and health of people. Citizens are advised to be careful, refrain from hikes in mountainous areas, and follow all warnings from authorities.
