Attack on the Energy Infrastructure of Chernihiv Region


Russian troops have once again attacked the energy infrastructure facilities in the Chernihiv region, resulting in 177 settlements being left without electricity, reports the portal 'Glavkom'. This has led to approximately 54 thousand people in the Nizhyn and Pryluky districts currently being without power.



The energy company 'Chernihivoblenergo' has confirmed that the enemy has attacked the infrastructure for the second time in a short period in an attempt to leave the region without electricity. The restoration of power supply may take a significant amount of time due to extensive damage.



The energy workers have started emergency recovery operations. However, due to significant damage, the restoration of power supply may take a long time.


Local residents have been urged to remain calm, adhere to information silence, prepare for possible emergency outages, and follow safety rules. It has also been reported about an incident of explosives being thrown in Nizhyn, which was yet another attack from the Russian invaders.



According to the mayor of Nizhyn, the occupiers used drones to attack the city, launching dozens of such devices. The armed forces of Russia targeted critical infrastructure, which led to temporary interruptions in electricity and water supply in certain areas.



As a result of the attack on the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv region, more than tens of thousands of people were left without power, and efforts to restore damaged facilities are ongoing. Local residents are urged to be cautious and support the authorities during this challenging time.
