In Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, and Kostiantynivka, energy workers have restored electricity after the Russian shelling on October 3. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Vadym Filashkin, as informed by 'Hromadske'.
'Energy workers eliminated all the consequences of the shelling in the shortest time possible and returned electricity supply to the homes of 92 thousand families in Donetsk region. Working in inhumane conditions, under constant threat of shelling, specialists did everything possible to ensure our people received basic utilities. I thank everyone who made it possible for our energy system to operate stably even in such difficult times!' - the message reads.
Russian shelling and its consequences
We remind that in the evening of October 3, Russian occupiers attacked the Donetsk region. Critical infrastructure of the region was in the crosshairs.
According to the report from the Regional State Administration, the Russians deliberately targeted critical infrastructure. The enemy struck at the energy sector of Donetsk region. As a result of the shelling, part of the region was left without electricity. Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka, and some areas of Kramatorsk remained without light.
As a result of the Russian shelling, part of the districts in Donetsk region lost power, but thanks to the quick and professional work of energy workers, electricity supply was restored for over 90 thousand families. This highlights the importance of specialists' work in ensuring uninterrupted critical services, even in the conditions of war and danger. Such events emphasize the importance of safety for critical facilities and independence from external threats.
