Arrest Made in Fastiv Region
A 35-year-old man has been detained in the Fastiv region on suspicion of firing a gun inside a store in the village of Tarasivka and illegally possessing a grenade. The incident began with an altercation inside the store, where the suspect allegedly struck a 26-year-old employee in the face before discharging a firearm into the floor.
Authorities apprehended the man under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code and placed him in a temporary detention facility. During a subsequent search of his residence, police, alongside explosive ordnance disposal experts, seized a hand grenade and a detonator. He has been formally notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism) and Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons) of Ukraine's Criminal Code. The investigation, which is being overseen by the Fastiv District Prosecutor's Office, is ongoing.
