Lviv Soldier Ruslan Dutko Killed on the Frontline

Ruslan Dutko: His Life and Military Service

Ukrainian serviceman Ruslan Dutko, who gave his life for Ukraine's independence, was killed on May 19, 2026. Born on February 28, 1991, in Lviv, he completed his education at Secondary School No. 98 in the city and later studied at the Automobile and Road Professional College of Lviv Polytechnic National University.

Dutko served with the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, part of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. During his deployment, he defended Ukraine in several key areas:

  • Dnipropetrovsk
  • Mykolaiv
  • Kherson
  • Donetsk

For his contributions, he was awarded the War Veteran Medal.

Remembering Ruslan Dutko

His funeral took place on May 22, 2026, at the Sykhiv Cemetery in Lviv. He is survived by his parents, son, wife, grandmother, aunt, two uncles, and other family members who mourn this irreplaceable loss.

Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor those who have lost their lives in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Ruslan Dutko. His dedication and heroism will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
