Expansion of the evacuation area in Kharkiv region
The Kharkiv region plans to expand the evacuation area for families with children. In addition to the Kupiansk and Izium directions, where people are already being evacuated, the evacuation will also include the Velykoburlutsk direction. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the statement of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.
The evacuation of families with children will be extended to the Velykoburlutsk direction due to the escalation of the situation. Oleg Synegubov emphasized that the city of Kupiansk remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
'The front remains stable thanks to our military,' emphasized Synegubov
He stressed that the front remains stable due to the Ukrainian military. Evacuation continues in the Kupiansk direction. Currently, 758 people remain in the city itself, and about 4.4 thousand people in total in the direction.
Despite the fact that the enemy has destroyed important infrastructure in the area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel the attack, and the region is preparing for the heating season.
It should be noted that the troops of the Russian Federation carried out a missile strike on the city of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region on the evening of October 1, resulting in one death and ten injuries, including a child. According to the Izium district prosecutor's office, which has launched a pre-trial investigation into the war crime, the enemy likely used an 'Iskander-M' missile.
The situation in the Kharkiv region remains tense, and the authorities continue to respond to threats from the enemy, expanding the mandatory evacuation zone to ensure the safety of residents. Ukrainian military keeps the situation under control, not allowing the enemy to advance, while the region prepares for the upcoming heating season.
