Kharkiv region: State Emergency Service sapper units removed 2 Russian aerial bombs weighing 500 kilograms each

In the village of Cherkaska Lozova in the Kharkiv region, after a Russian shelling, sapper units of the State Emergency Service removed two Russian aerial bombs weighing 500 kilograms each. The first bomb fell on the private property, while the second one landed 300 meters away from the house.

Specialists from the engineering support unit for demining operations and special equipment were involved in the removal of dangerous items. After transporting the aerial bombs to the detonation site, they were destroyed by controlled explosion.

Threat of unexploded munitions

The removal of aerial bombs indicates the ongoing threat posed by unexploded munitions in Ukraine, especially in areas that have been shelled. The actions of the State Emergency Service sappers are crucial for ensuring the safety of local residents and preventing potential tragedies associated with explosive objects.

This situation also highlights the necessity for continuous demining efforts in regions affected by conflict, as the presence of such dangerous remnants can seriously threaten the lives and health of people. The efforts of state services in this area are critically important for restoring normal life in affected communities.
