A man in Khmelnytskyi threw a dog out of the window of a high-rise building, resulting in the animal's death. The police have initiated criminal proceedings regarding this incident. According to the information received by law enforcement, the event occurred on January 11 at around one o'clock in the morning.

The man who threw the dog is 40 years old. At the time of the incident, the animal was a Toy Terrier and showed signs of mistreatment. As a result of the fall, the dog died. The police have announced suspicion against the man under part three of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns cruel treatment of animals. According to Ukrainian legislation, the suspect faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.

This case has caused outrage among the public. Earlier, law enforcement also initiated an investigation concerning an 18-year-old girl who abused an animal for popularity on social media. In addition, in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, there was an incident where an 11-year-old schoolboy threw a cat out of the window. These cases indicate a growing problem of animal cruelty in Ukraine.
