Blasting Activities at the Olshanytsia Granite Deposit
On July 2, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, controlled explosions will be carried out at the Olshanytsia granite deposit in Kyiv Oblast to break up rock for extraction. This was announced by the press service of the Bila Tserkva District Military Administration.
Located within the Rokytne settlement territorial community, the Olshanytsia deposit is being blasted to loosen granite that will later be processed into crushed stone for construction use.
Additional Blasting Sites
Similar operations already took place on January 28 at the Shamraivka granite deposit. Other planned blasting locations in the Kyiv region include:
- Shamraivka Quarry
- Rokytne Special Quarry
These activities support the growth of the local mining sector and ensure a steady supply of raw materials for building projects.
The blasts at Olshanytsia are part of a broader strategy to expand mining infrastructure across Kyiv Oblast. Increasing the output of granite and crushed stone can benefit the construction industry by providing essential materials for new developments, thereby boosting the regional economy and improving infrastructure.
