Забруднення річки Буча в Київській області викликало тривогу серед місцевих жителів та швидку реакцію влади.

Sewage Spill into the Bucha River

A spill of untreated sewage into the Bucha River has been discovered in the Kyiv region. The incident was recorded in the Bucha district at coordinates 50.5375262, 30.2312418, where inspectors from the State Environmental Inspectorate found a concrete well discharging wastewater. This pollution of the local water body raises serious concerns about compliance with environmental protection laws. Such incidents are a growing concern in Ukraine, where infrastructure is under strain.

The State Environmental Inspectorate of the Capital District reported that during an inspection of the site, soil samples and surface water samples were collected. Information about the violation has been forwarded to the police for further investigation. Ecologists noted that

"this incident may indicate a breach of environmental legislation requirements regarding the protection and rational use of water resources."

Broader Ecological Issues in the Region

This is not an isolated problem for the area. Previously, a mass fish die-off was recorded in Lake Horashchykha in Kyiv's Obolon district, pointing to wider issues with the state of water resources in the region. The State Environmental Inspectorate has urged citizens to actively report any known violations of environmental law.

"We ask citizens to promptly inform the Inspectorate of any known violations of environmental legislation occurring in the Bucha district. For its part, the Inspectorate will ensure an immediate response within its defined powers."
