Traffic Accident in Kyiv Region
Recently, a traffic accident occurred in the Fastiv district of Kyiv region, resulting in injuries to a 37-year-old man. The accident happened on the Kyiv-Fastiv highway when a 53-year-old female driver of a Volkswagen lost control, leading to the collision with a pedestrian.
The injured man sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility for necessary assistance. Following the incident, investigators from the Fastiv police department have launched a pre-trial investigation under part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to violations of traffic regulations.
Other Cases of Traffic Accidents
This case is not the only traffic accident in the region. On December 31, another accident occurred in the village of Byshiv, in which two people were injured. In this traffic incident, a 24-year-old driver of a Ford lost control, resulting in a head-on collision with a Mercedes SUV. These events indicate serious safety issues on the roads, requiring attention from both authorities and drivers.
Accidents on the roads of Kyiv region highlight the urgency of improving road traffic safety in the area. Frequent cases of traffic accidents, including collisions with pedestrians, indicate the need for:
- increased enforcement of traffic rules;
- review of road infrastructure.
