On the night of July 24, a new air raid alert system started operating in the Kyiv region. Now alerts will be announced only in specific danger zones, not across the entire region as before. This decision was made after testing the new system, which began at the start of the year.
Previously, air raid alerts were announced for the entire region. Now, a differentiated air raid alert system is in place in the Kyiv region.
According to the new system, if there is a threat from drones, alerts will be issued only in the area of potential danger. This will help reduce the duration of alerts and avoid unnecessary halts, for instance, halts in public transportation. Similar alert systems are already in place in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Cherkasy regions.
With the start of the new air raid alert system, it will become easier and more convenient for residents of the Kyiv region not only to receive information about dangers in their area but also to react to it without unnecessary anxiety. Such an improvement will contribute to enhancing the safety level of the population and will help avoid panic in case of potential threats.
