In the Kup'yansk direction, the situation remains under control despite attempts by enemy attacks. This was stated by the commander of the 3rd artillery division of the 'Buriev' brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Nazar Tikhovetsky, in a television interview.
According to him, the enemy constantly tries to break through Ukrainian defense lines with small groups of fighters or by using motorcycles and ATVs to strike our positions. However, all their attacks end in failure.
Tikhovetsky noted that the main task of the artillerymen is to repel such attacks. An important problem, in his opinion, is the need to remain in an invisible state due to the large number of Russian FPV drones in the area.
Features of Ukrainian artillery tactics
The commander emphasized that Ukrainian artillerymen focus their activities on destroying the enemy's manpower. 'Their goal is to keep advancing without retreating,' he explained.
Tikhovetsky noted that Russian artillery systems are located at a great distance, so they need to be neutralized while approaching the front line, which leads to additional risks for Ukrainian soldiers.
'We will avoid this situation, having the means to hit artillery and repel assaults,' the commander explained the strategy of the unit.
In the combat zone at the Kup'yansk direction, Ukrainian troops are actively repelling attempts of enemy attacks and are focused on neutralizing enemy artillery systems. The commander of the 'Buriev' brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Nazar Tikhovetsky, noted that the main goal is to defend positions and prevent the enemy from breaking into Ukrainian territories.
