An 11-year-old girl drowned in Mykolaiv region

On Thursday, July 9, a tragedy occurred in the Mykolaiv region when a child drowned in a river. According to the information from the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two 11-year-old girls went swimming in the Ingul River in one of the villages of the Ingul Community. During swimming, one of the girls began to drown.



"Her friend ran to call for help. People passing by tried to save the girl but could not find her in the water," the statement said.


Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene, who searched the river before darkness fell but found no results. In the morning, divers arrived and found the child's body just four meters from the shore after several dives. Currently, all circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated by law enforcement agencies.



Other cases of tragedies at water bodies


This tragedy is not the only sad event that occurred at water bodies in Ukraine. Recently, a man died in Ternopil region while trying to pull his grandson out of the river. In Vinnytsia, a 28-year-old man drowned while swimming across a river, and in the city of Bila Tserkva, a 15-year-old girl died while swimming in the Ros River. Also, in Donetsk region, a 15-year-old teenager drowned in a pond. Such tragedies remind us of the need to observe water safety rules and avoid dangerous situations.



The accident with the child who drowned in the river in Mykolaiv region was just one of a series of tragic events at water bodies. These incidents remind us of the importance of adhering to safety regulations while around water and avoiding risky situations to prevent similar events in the future.
