Business Meeting in Odesa Region
A session focused on state aid programs for enterprises impacted by Russian attacks recently took place in Odesa region. Due to missile and drone strikes from the Russian Federation, 160 local businesses have sustained damage. During the event, three key support initiatives were introduced to help companies resume operations.
Key Support Programs
- Program One: Provides grants for rebuilding production facilities, with a maximum award of up to 16 million UAH. This effort targets firms that have suffered severe losses from combat activities.
- Program Two: Called 'Point of Support,' it reimburses employers for wages and the single social contribution (SSC) during mandatory downtime.
- Program Three: Addresses war risk insurance. It offers up to 30 million UAH in property value compensation for businesses located in 10 high-risk regions. Additionally, enterprises across Ukraine can claim up to 3 million UAH in insurance premium reimbursements.
These government-backed measures aim to help businesses recover and adapt to the challenging operational environment created by the war.
This meeting marks a significant step in reviving the regional economy, as the state programs can substantially ease the financial strain on companies affected by military actions. The proposed initiatives highlight the government's commitment to supporting businesses amid the difficult economic situation caused by aggression. Effective implementation of these programs could lay the groundwork for restoring enterprises and preserving jobs across Ukraine.
As businesses in the Odesa region seek to recover from the devastating impacts of the ongoing conflict, similar support initiatives are also being rolled out in other areas. For instance, Kyiv has introduced grants of up to 16 million UAH under a new plan by the Ministry of Economic Support, aimed at assisting local enterprises affected by recent attacks. This broader approach underscores the government's commitment to stabilizing the economy across Ukraine during these challenging times.
