On Tuesday evening, August 5, police were patrolling the surroundings of Izmail and stopped a moped driver for a document check. But suddenly, everything escalated into a tragic event. The 45-year-old man began shooting at the law enforcement officers. One of the police officers was injured but returned fire and wounded the attacker. Both were taken to the hospital, but the senior lieutenant of police died from his injuries.
