Based on the data obtained during the monitoring of the lifestyle, the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NABU) and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) announced suspicion against the head of the emergency rescue team of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia region for illegal enrichment. The information was provided with the participation of the Zaporizhzhia regional prosecutor's office.
Suspect in illegal enrichment
During the monitoring, NABU specialists found that in recent years, the official from the SES purchased several expensive cars, including a 2020 Volkswagen Touareg, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQC 400, and a 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 3.3 Twin Turbo 10 AT Premium PD, as well as received cash funds.
The origin of these assets is unexplained, as they significantly exceed the declarant's income, the total amount of unidentified assets is about 13 million hryvnias.
After analyzing the official's income and that of his family, NABU concluded that the purchase of the specified assets from legal income is impossible.
The head of the emergency rescue team in Zaporizhzhia region has been suspected of illegal enrichment due to the purchase of expensive cars and receiving substantial cash sums, without explaining their legal origin.
