A retro tram will once again run in Kyiv: route and restoration details

In the old center of Kyiv, the retro tram M2-M '1892' has reappeared, reminiscent of the old Kyiv trams from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. It has been restored with all historical details in mind, including wooden finishing. The repair work was carried out by specialists from the Darnytsia depot, who restored the running gear, frame, and interior.

The retro tram will run on the route 'Kontraktova Square – Taras Shevchenko Square' and back, reminding of the first electric tram route in the city, which passed through Podil to Olexandrivskyi Uzviz, now known as Volodymyrsky Uzviz.

This restoration of the retro tram is a wonderful opportunity for residents and guests of the city to enjoy the atmosphere of past decades and feel the romance of old Kyiv.
