In the Poltava region, the fare for suburban minibuses traveling to Kremenchuk has increased. In particular, residents of Kam'yani Potok now pay 20 hryvnias instead of 15. This is reported by Kremenchutska Gazeta.
Passengers report that the fare increase has not occurred on all routes, however, some carriers have already changed their rates. People complain that daily travel expenses are significantly rising.
Fares for suburban minibuses: how prices have changed
The largest fare increase has been felt by residents of Kam'yani Potok. If previously the trip to Kremenchuk cost 15 hryvnias, now it costs 20 hryvnias. In case of a trip to the city center, the fare can reach 40 hryvnias one way.
Also, in February, the price increased on the route from Kryvushiv. Now passengers pay 20 hryvnias, while previously the fare was:
-
16 hryvnias to Vlasivka
-
17 hryvnias to Svitlovodsk.
Fare increase: what do carriers and authorities say
The Kremenchuk District Military Administration explained that carriers, in accordance with current legislation, no longer coordinate fare increases with the authorities, but only inform the Poltava Regional Military Administration.
Among the reasons for the rise in costs are the increase in fuel prices, spare parts, and maintenance expenses. At the same time, both passengers and carriers complain about the condition of roads in the suburbs of Kremenchuk, which they describe as unsatisfactory.
Let us remind you that at the end of December, the fare in Uzhhorod for city buses increased. The relevant decision was made on December 22 at a meeting of the executive committee of the city council.
