The Diia platform has introduced a streamlined way for citizens to obtain an official extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans. This certified document verifies the status of a veteran or a family member of a fallen defender, serving as essential proof for accessing government benefits and social protections. This newly launched digital service enables users to request the extract online and receive it as a PDF signed with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs’ qualified electronic signature. To ensure authenticity, each extract includes a QR code for verification. Additionally, to broaden accessibility, children of veterans under 23 years old and their legal representatives can obtain the extract through local Administrative Service Centers (CNAPs).
Who Is Eligible for This Service?
The extract can be requested by several groups, including:
- War veterans;
- Relatives of deceased veterans and defenders;
- Participants affected by the Revolution of Dignity;
- Individuals recognized for special merits to the nation.
It is important to note that eligibility depends on having one’s status officially recorded in the Veterans Register.
The Diia press service detailed the straightforward process: users log into the portal, navigate to the 'Veteran PRO' section, select the 'Extract from the Veterans Register' service, verify their information, and submit the request. The completed document is then delivered both to the user’s personal account and their email, simplifying access to crucial paperwork.
