In Rivne region, the stepfather of one of the mobilized servicemen together with an instructor from the military unit attempted to carry out a criminal plan to avoid military service. The men made an agreement with the commander of the company where one of them's stepson served, regarding the removal of the serviceman from the military unit and providing him with an opportunity to escape, for which they promised a reward of $20,000.
However, the company commander reported this to higher officials and acted under the supervision of law enforcement. During the transfer of the agreed sum of money, law enforcement detained both individuals. They have already been charged with offering an illegal benefit to an official.
Criminal attempts to evade military service and bribery in the military are serious violations of the law. In this case, law enforcement played a key role in preventing this crime, indicating the high effectiveness of their work.
