On the Toretsk direction, Russian occupiers have changed their tactics and are now avoiding the use of armored vehicles, instead trying to infiltrate through Ukrainian combat positions in small infantry groups.

Foot attacks, known as hungry 'waves', have intensified the situation. According to the deputy commander of the 42nd separate mechanized brigade, Sviatoslav Lesyuk, Russian assault troops attack without necessary food and water, unable even to return. Before this, they may use light equipment such as motorcycles or buggies, and all efforts are made to break through Ukrainian defenses.
