On June 29, in the village of Ozero, Volyn, a lightning strike occurred near a body of water, injuring seven people—four of whom were children. All victims lost consciousness at the scene, prompting a rapid response from police and medical teams. Those in need of care were hospitalized. The Main Directorate of the National Police in the Volyn region confirmed the incident.

Separately, in Lviv, a six-year-old girl was struck by lightning and subsequently hospitalized; she is currently in intensive care. The city also experienced severe squalls, which toppled 30 trees. In the Halytskyi district, nine trees fell, while in the Shevchenkivskyi district, seven trees came down, damaging a district administration building and seven vehicles.

These events highlight the dangers posed by natural phenomena like thunderstorms and strong winds, which can seriously harm both people and infrastructure. Authorities urge the public to exercise caution during severe weather and follow safety guidelines to minimize risks.
