On August 30, a sabotage operation occurred near the village of Voskresenka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, resulting in the deaths of 18 officers from the headquarters of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the RF. This information was disseminated by the publication 'Glavkom' based on data from the project 'I Want to Live'.
Unknown individuals set fire to dry grass near the command post, causing the fire to quickly spread to the buildings and bunkers. Due to heavy smoke and carbon monoxide poisoning, the officers had no chance of escape. Five more bodies have not been evacuated.
List of those killed in the fire:
- Deputy Chief of Staff for Rocket Forces and Artillery of the 35th CA, Colonel Makhotin Ilya Konstantinovich;
- Deputy Head of Division - Head of the General Operational Planning Division of the 35th CA Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Shigabutdinov Ruslan Gilmanovich;
- Other officers.
Additionally, the bodies of five individuals have not yet been evacuated:
- Deputy Chief of Intelligence - Head of the Intelligence Division of the 35th CA Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Konoyko Sergey Vladimirovich;
- Assistant Duty Officer of the Territorial Management Center of the 35th CA Headquarters, Major Filimonikhin Vladimir Vyacheslavovich;
- Other officers.
Additionally, due to the actions of the saboteurs, communication towers near the city of Krasnodar in Russia were damaged.
The fire caused by the sabotage near the headquarters of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the RF resulted in the deaths of 18 officers. The actions of unknown individuals not only led to tragedy but also resulted in damage to important facilities in Russia, pushing for further escalation of the conflict in the region.
