Salaries and international support
The salaries of NABU employees also vary. NABU director Serhiy Kryvonos receives over 180 thousand UAH, deputy directors about 145 thousand UAH, and unit heads more than 100 thousand UAH. Ordinary detectives receive an average of 70 thousand UAH. In 2025, NABU declares almost 40 million UAH of international technical assistance, which also indicates support for anti-corruption efforts from abroad.
Compensation for damages in 2024 amounted to 823.359 million UAH, while in the first half of 2025, available compensations reached 685.252 million UAH. Sociological studies show that 81% of citizens of Ukraine believe that corruption has the most destructive impact on the country, while 44.2% of respondents consider the level of corruption to be very high. These figures highlight the importance and relevance of anti-corruption measures being implemented through agencies like NABU.
“Increasing funding for anti-corruption agencies like NABU reflects the commitment of the Ukrainian state to fight corruption, which remains one of the greatest challenges to the stability and development of the country.”

Rising expenses on anti-corruption measures also indicate the necessity of support from international partners and society, which demands effective actions in this area. Given the high levels of public opinion regarding corruption, it is essential that the results of NABU's activities become visible and tangible for the population.
