Denial of information about searches of Yuriy Koryavchenkov

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has denied information about searches of people's deputy Yuriy Koryavchenkov, which appeared online on December 27, 2023. In response to numerous media inquiries, NABU's press service reported that searches of the deputy are currently not being conducted.

Yuriy Koryavchenkov is a people's deputy from the 'Servant of the People' party, representing electoral district No. 33. In 2019, he headed Volodymyr Zelensky's campaign headquarters in Kryvyi Rih. Currently, Koryavchenkov is also a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure.

The importance of fact-checking in media

It should be noted that recently NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) conducted a 'cover' special operation. In addition, NABU has summoned businessmen Tymur Mindych and Oleksandr Tsukerman again for questioning. However, the information about searches of Yuriy Koryavchenkov is not true.

The situation with the spread of false information regarding searches of the deputy highlights the importance of fact-checking in the media landscape.

Given the activity of NABU and SAP, the public and media should be cautious about spreading news that may affect the reputation of individuals involved in political processes. Investigations by anti-corruption agencies continue to be in the spotlight, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in public affairs.
