National Health Screening 2026: 2000 UAH for examinations for Ukrainians aged 40+

Здоров’я нація: доступні обстеження для українців старше 40 років у 2026 році.

Program 'National Health Screening'

Starting from January 1, 2026, Ukraine will launch a program for preventive medical examinations for citizens over 40 years of age. The program, named 'National Health Screening', involves funding of 2000 UAH for health diagnostics. This initiative aims to improve the health of the population and to timely detect diseases.

Examination Procedure

Citizens reaching the age of 40 will receive notifications about the possibility of examination annually, 30 days after their birthday. Funding will be provided in the form of targeted funds that cannot be withdrawn as cash. The funds will be sent to a special card through the 'Dii.a' application or through the Centers for Administrative Services (CNAPs).

The examination package for 2000 UAH includes:

  • doctor's consultation
  • physical measurements
  • lipid profile
  • kidney tests
  • glycated hemoglobin analysis
  • assessment of cardiovascular catastrophe risks
  • psychological state check

The examination system will be tied to the patient's date of birth. As Irina Polyakova stated,

“Exactly 30 days after your 40th birthday, you will receive a notification that you can use the national check-up program and check your health status.”

Removing the link to the place of registration will allow patients to choose a medical facility for the examination. Irina Polyakova also noted:

“After receiving 2000 UAH, you can choose any medical facility that has signed a contract with the National Health Service.”

This innovation aims to ensure the convenience and accessibility of medical services for citizens, which will contribute to improving the overall health level of the population.

The introduction of the 'National Health Screening' program is an important step towards enhancing the healthcare system in Ukraine, as it allows for timely detection of diseases and reduces the risks of complications. By providing funding for examinations, the government aims to encourage the population to undergo regular medical check-ups, which can significantly impact the overall health statistics in the country.
