Attack on a TCC employee in Odesa: a man was detained for stabbing

Затримано підозрюваного у нападі на співробітника ТЦ в Одесі: чоловік став винуватцем ножового поранення.

Incidents of attacks on military personnel in Ukraine

On December 8, 2025, a man was detained in the Odesa region for attacking a territorial center for recruitment (TCC) employee with a knife. The incident occurred in November 2025 when the offender inflicted a penetrating stab wound on a serviceman performing his official duties. After committing the crime, the attacker attempted to flee and hid from the police.

Representatives of the Odesa regional TCC and SP commented on the incident, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation. They noted that an attack on a serviceman while he is performing tasks under martial law is a serious crime. It was also stated that every act of violence will receive due legal assessment. Authorities assured that the attack on servicemen will be punished by law and will not go unnoticed by the state.

Increase in violence against servicemen

This case is not an isolated one. On December 25, 2025, another attack occurred in Dnipro when a man also attacked servicemen with a knife, resulting in injuries to two of them. In addition, on December 24, 2025, a group of TCC notification was attacked by citizens of mobilization age, leading to serious injuries of one serviceman. These events indicate an increase in violence against servicemen in Ukraine, causing concern among authorities.

The increase in cases of violence against servicemen in Ukraine under martial law highlights the need for enhanced security measures to protect military personnel. Authorities have already stressed the importance of legal assessment of such crimes, which could lead to stricter responses to similar acts of violence. These events raise serious public concern and require active government actions to ensure the safety of servicemen performing their duties in difficult conditions.
