Court Orders Pre-Trial Detention
A court has ordered four suspects in the assault of a judge in Dnipro to be held in pre-trial detention without the possibility of bail. The ruling applies to the detained men, aged between 33 and 36, and will last for 60 days. The attack occurred on March 13 near the entrance to her home, when assailants wearing balaclavas and arriving in a car without license plates struck the judge on the head, used pepper spray, and attempted to forcibly put her into their vehicle.
During the incident, the judge's husband was also injured while preventing her abduction. Investigators have identified another individual involved in the crime, who has also been notified of suspicion. The suspects were detained during a special police operation in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This brazen attack highlights the serious risks faced by judicial officials in Ukraine.

In response, the Council of Judges of Ukraine is initiating measures to protect judges' personal data. The proposed actions include:
- restricting access to information about the places of residence of judges and their family members;
- reviewing the scope of publicly available data about judges in state registers;
- introducing additional mechanisms for protecting judges' personal data.
