The situation regarding the attacks on servicemen in Ukraine has become a subject of discussion for the military ombudsman Olha Reshetylova. She noted that the state and society did not intervene in a timely manner to stop manifestations of aggression towards the military, failing to provide appropriate condemnation and legal assessment of such attacks. The problem of these attacks has existed for quite a while, arising back in 2023, and, according to the ombudsman, requires serious attention.
Olha Reshetylova also emphasized that problems in the mobilization process cannot serve as justification for attacks on servicemen who are fulfilling important duties for the state. She called for the involvement of all parties in addressing this problematic issue and stressed the need for a new social contract to regulate the situation.
In resolving the latest attack on military TCK Yurii Bondarenko, the court in Lviv has already taken concrete measures, arresting the suspect for two months. It is important to remember that such cases highlight the need for immediate and decisive action to protect the military and their rights in modern Ukrainian society.
