The German publication Bild has published material about the possible preparation by Russia for a large-scale offensive against Ukraine before the end of summer. Disappointed by unmentioned sources from a military blogger, the Russian military command and the Kremlin allegedly plan to deploy 30,000 North Korean soldiers to the front. This operation is expected to cover the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.

In response to this publication, criticism was voiced in Kyiv. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the RNBо, Andrey Kovalenko, stated that the idea of a new offensive is absent, as the Russian army has been constantly operating on the front since last year. He also emphasized that the plans previously set by Putin for the army have failed, and now the Russian command is trying to achieve results through numerical superiority rather than strategic initiative.

'They are consistently trying to pressure, and there are no 'new offensives' as such - there is a throwing in of reserves, a change of tactics, attempts to go in assault groups into the border area, impose battles, throw reserves in the East' - noted Kovalenko.

The Center for Counteracting Disinformation does not rule out that information about a possible offensive may be an attempt to create panic or disrupt the calm situation in Ukraine. Therefore, they urge to treat such reports critically and not to accept them as confirmed facts.

It is essential to remember that the information may be part of targeted campaigns aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country. It is important to maintain calm and trust in Ukraine's ability to withstand any threats.

The Ukrainian Center for Counteracting Disinformation responded to the publication of the German edition about the possible offensive by Russia on the territory of Ukraine. It was noted that the Russian military activity in eastern Ukraine remains provocative, but no new offensives are observed. At the same time, in Ukraine, they urge taking information critically and not to cause panic among the population. The main thing - trust in Ukraine's military capabilities remains unchanged.
