The process of restoring rare plants in the Tuzlovsky Limany National Park continues under the guidance of Doctor of Biological Sciences Ivan Rusev. One of the main goals is to focus attention on the late-blooming Ankara flower, which blooms around the New Year, as well as on the katran, important for the first spring pollinators.

The Tuzlovsky Limany National Natural Park is a protected area in the Odessa region. In 2022, it suffered from shelling during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but now reconstruction of the area is underway, and valuable plant species are being restored.

I saw this plant in the Tuzlovsky Limany National Park. But since the park was established in 2010, it has not been here anymore.

During the park's renewal, there are also plans to restore the katran - a rare plant that grows in sandy areas. Seed collection has begun, with plans to disperse them along the coast to increase the species range and support biodiversity.

Rare plants such as the late-blooming Ankara flower and katran are actively being restored in the Tuzlovsky Limany National Park, which are important elements of the local ecosystem. This work is being conducted in the context of the park's renewal after the events of 2022 and aims to preserve and expand the biodiversity of the national nature reserve. The restoration of these plant species is a significant step in preserving the unique flora and fauna of the region.
