The National Bank of Ukraine raised the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and euro on March 26. The Ukrainian currency continues to show slight strengthening in the foreign exchange market. This is reported by UNIAN.
Dollar exchange rate of NBU: how the hryvnia has changed on March 26
The official dollar exchange rate has been set at 43.87 UAH per dollar, which indicates a strengthening of the hryvnia by 5 kopecks.
On the interbank market as of 16:00, the quotations were as follows:
dollar — 43.90 / 43.93 UAH
euro — 50.91 / 50.92 UAH.
The hryvnia also strengthened its position against the European currency. The official euro exchange rate has been set at 50.85 UAH, which is 4 kopecks lower than the previous value.
Euro exchange rate in Ukraine: what banks and the market show
In banks, the exchange rates showed different dynamics. As of March 25:
average dollar selling rate — 44.20 UAH
average dollar buying rate — 43.65 UAH
average euro selling rate — 51.37 UAH
average euro buying rate — 50.70 UAH.
In 'PrivatBank', currency indicators also decreased:
dollar — 44.15 UAH (selling)
euro — 51.25 UAH (selling)
dollar — 43.55 UAH (buying)
euro — 50.25 UAH (buying).
Thus, the market gradually reacts to changes in the official exchange rate, although fluctuations in banks remain more noticeable.
