G7 to allocate aid for Ukraine's energy system: how it will strengthen protection

The 'Group of Seven' countries promised to help repair and restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure after Russian attacks severely damaged the country. Energy ministers of the G7 countries expressed their support and condemned Russia's actions in this context.



The Ukrainian people are suffering due to the destruction of their energy infrastructure as a result of Russian attacks, so it is important for us to provide support for their recovery efforts.


The 'Group of Seven' countries plan to provide support to Ukraine through various mechanisms, including the G7+ Coordination Group on Ukraine's Energy and the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Direct financial aid, loans, risk insurance, and other measures are also planned to support Ukraine's energy sector.






The G7 also announced its intention to tighten restrictions on Russian tankers to reduce war-related revenues. These measures are aimed at supporting Ukraine and punishing Russia's actions that harm the Ukrainian people.
