Danish Minister Marie Bjerre believes that the division of Ukraine and Moldova on the way to EU membership is unfair. She stated that after Russia's annexation of Crimea, Ukraine cannot be left alone and must be supported in its European integration. The Minister emphasized that the expansion of the EU is an important geopolitical necessity that strengthens Europe’s security.

'The reason for a new impulse in the expansion process lies precisely in Ukraine. This is due to Russia's full-scale invasion. It would be unfair to leave Ukraine alone. We must move forward with Ukraine as well,' stated Marie Bjerre.

At the same time, the Hungarian government refuses to start negotiations on Ukraine's EU accession. This raises questions about Ukraine's possible prospects on the path to Eurointegration and creates additional challenges for the country.

The Danish Minister emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine in its approach to the EU amid geopolitical challenges that pose a threat to European security. Meanwhile, Budapest's refusal to negotiate complicates the situation and may affect Ukraine's further path to European integration.
