Russian troops in the Novopavlivka direction are using a new tactic to destroy Ukrainian engineering barriers by employing mass FPV drone attacks with powerful charges. They are attempting to systematically demolish fortifications to create passages for equipment. A week ago, Russian troops attempted to cross a tank ditch using a tank bridge layer, but their attempts were unsuccessful as their equipment was destroyed by Ukrainian troops.
A serviceman noted that after the unsuccessful attempts with the bridge layer, Russian troops switched to using FPV drones to destroy engineering barriers. They are also using guided aerial bombs to destroy Ukrainian fortifications.
'The enemy finds it more practical to shoot at engineering barriers with FPV drones with a more powerful charge that essentially destroys the slopes of the specified engineering barriers, thereby creating passageways for equipment,' the military explained.
This change in tactics indicates the Russian command's attempts to find more effective methods for breaking through Ukrainian defensive lines after failures with traditional assault methods. Ukrainian defenders need to adapt to new challenges and develop effective ways to counter mass drone attacks.
In the Russian forces in the Novopavlivka direction, a change in tactics has been recorded in the destruction of Ukrainian engineering barriers. Instead of traditional assault methods, they are now using FPV drones and guided aerial bombs. This places Ukrainian defenders in front of new challenges, and they will have to seek effective ways to counter mass drone attacks to successfully defend their positions.
