Bad Weather in Lviv Region: Rescuers Evacuate People and Animals in Boats (Photos)

During the night of July 10, a real disaster struck the Lviv region – heavy rains caused flooding. Streets, houses and cars in the villages of Skyniliv, Zubra, and Sokilnyky were flooded due to rivers overflowing their banks. The road 'Lviv - Pustomyty - Medenychi' was also partially submerged. Rescuers have already intervened – they saved four people, two children and two dogs in the village of Skyniliv.



Elimination of Consequences


Currently, fire and rescue services are working to pump water out of the electrical substation using pumps to prevent further damage and restore power supply. A total of 38 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment are involved in the liquidation of the consequences, working non-stop to restore normal conditions.



Police Warning


The patrol police of the Lviv region urges drivers to be especially cautious on the roads due to adverse weather conditions. Visibility decreases, braking distance increases, and there is a risk of vehicle skidding during maneuvers.



Over the past night, bad weather in the Lviv region has caused serious problems, resulting in flooded streets and residential buildings. Rescue services are actively working to eliminate the consequences and restore the apartment building.
