A strong gale left nearly 30 thousand people without electricity in the Kharkiv region

Severe weather in the Kharkiv region has led to around 30 thousand people being without electricity. Rescuers and equipment are already working at the scene to rectify the situation. Meanwhile, the elements have already claimed lives, and many houses and vehicles have suffered damage.



Wind gusts reached 20 meters per second, and the rain and hail led to fallen electric poles, roof destruction, and the collapse of many trees. It has been reported that as a result of the storm, one person died and five others were injured, including one child.



In the village of Pervomaiske, in the Chuhuyiv district, a 56-year-old woman was killed by a falling tree, the report states.

According to preliminary data, one person died and five were injured, including one child, the State Emergency Service reported.



  • In the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, three people were injured due to the roof of a private house being torn off.

  • In the Osnovianskyi district, a 7-year-old girl was injured as a result of a fallen tree.

  • In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a tree fell on a car, injuring a man born in 1973.



Rescuers and equipment continue to work at the scene to eliminate the aftermath of the bad weather. Fortunately, no serious reports of fatalities or serious injuries have been received. We hope that the situation will be resolved quickly and that the victims will receive the necessary assistance.
