No Progress: Rubio Discusses the Failure of New Talks with People Close to Putin

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that the Trump administration is negotiating with representatives of Putin's circle aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine. Unfortunately, no significant results have been achieved. In particular, Rubio noted: 'We had a conversation with Putin's closest people, but we did not make progress in achieving mutual understanding.'

The Secretary of State also pointed out that Russia shows no genuine interest in a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasized that President Trump has various options to impose sanctions on Russia, including restrictions on oil sales and banking sanctions.
