Russia Targeted by Drone Strikes: Explosions Reported in Krasnodar, Bryansk, and Industrial Plants

Безпілотники завдали ударів: вибухи зафіксовані у містах Краснодар та Брянськ, а також на промислових об'єктах.

Drone Incidents Across Russia

A series of drone-related incidents occurred on Russian territory during the night of February 12. Powerful explosions were recorded in Krasnodar, leading to the temporary closure of the local airport. The blasts, more than ten in number, were attributed to drone activity and the work of air defense systems, with debris falling in a residential area.

A military facility in the village of Kotluban, Volgograd region, also came under attack. The governor of the Volgograd region, Andrey Bocharov, confirmed the strike and the outbreak of a fire, stating it was caused by 'falling debris'.

Coordinated Strikes and Their Impact

Simultaneously, explosions were heard in Michurinsk, Tambov region, accompanied by a fire at the 'Progress' plant. In the Bryansk region, including areas near Bryansk city, as well as in Dyatkovo, Fokino, and Sel'tso, a mass attack by jet-powered drones was recorded, causing power outages in the regional center. These strikes are part of a broader pattern of escalating unmanned warfare in the region, testing Russian air defense capabilities.

  • Increasing drone activity in the region
  • Challenges for Russia's air defense systems

These events highlight the growing use of drones in conflict zones, which could alter the regional balance of power. The attacks on both civilian and military targets suggest new tactical approaches that threaten population safety and critical infrastructure. The evolving situation will require an adequate response from Russian authorities to provide protection against similar incidents in the future.
