Kyiv Targeted in Nighttime Assault: High-Rise Building Damaged, No Casualties Reported

В Києві був здійснений нічний обстріл, внаслідок якого постраждав житловий будинок, але жертв уникнули.

Nighttime Strike on Kyiv

Russian forces launched an attack on Kyiv during the night of January 28. A 17-story residential building in the Holosiivskyi district sustained damage from the shelling. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties from this strike.

The assault resulted in the destruction of the roof and a wall on the technical floor, as well as damage to windows on the upper levels. Several parked cars were also damaged. Rescue workers and emergency services are currently on the scene, working to clear the aftermath of the attack.

Civilian Casualties in Other Regions

Meanwhile, as a result of the nighttime attacks on the Kyiv region, two local residents—a man and a woman—were killed in the Bilohorodska community. Additionally, an attack on Zaporizhzhia reportedly damaged over 100 apartments and 20 vehicles.

This nighttime assault is part of the ongoing escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

While there were no casualties in Kyiv, the loss of civilian life in other regions like the Kyiv oblast and Zaporizhzhia underscores the severe consequences of the military actions. These events highlight the critical importance of civilian safety and the urgent need to address the humanitarian needs arising from the prolonged war, which has seen repeated attacks on urban centers.
