Massive June 15 Attack on Kyiv
A large-scale Russian assault on the capital on the night of June 15 caused severe destruction across multiple districts. The antique market in the Podil district’s Pochaina area was completely burned down, according to local businesswoman Olena Kondratiuk, who operated two shops there. Stall owners arrived at the scene around 4 a.m., where emergency crews were already working to contain the damage.
Beyond the antique market, a strike hit the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, igniting a fire on the roof of its Dormition Cathedral.
