Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the consequences of the Russian attack that affected a large part of the country's territory. He reported that Russia used over twenty missiles and more than five hundred drones, most of them being 'Shaheds'.
'More than 20 missiles and most of the combat drones were destroyed. Thank you to our air defense forces for the result,' emphasized Zelensky.
Although the Ukrainian forces managed to destroy many missiles and drones, there was damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. Currently, two fatalities have been reported in Chernivtsi and about 20 injured who are receiving medical assistance.
Zelensky called for tough secondary sanctions against Russia and those who support it in drone production and oil trade. He also emphasized the need for more comprehensive air defense systems and investments in interceptor drones.
'We need more air defense and investments in interceptor drones that are already showing good results,' he emphasized.
The mayor of Lviv spoke about the consequences of the attack on the city, where dozens of buildings were damaged, including residential and other facilities. Enemy drones were used against the western part of Ukraine, causing significant damage.
Ukraine has faced a serious attack from Russia, leading to human casualties and destruction. President Zelensky called for additional sanctions against Russia and support for the country in its fight against aggression.
