Massive attack on Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine
On the night of [date], Russia launched a large-scale combined attack on Kyiv, Kyiv region, and other regions of Ukraine using drones and missiles. As a result of this attack, 6 people were killed, and 14 were injured, including a child. Residential buildings, infrastructure, and energy facilities, including heating plants, were damaged.
Details of the attack
The attack began at night and lasted until morning. In the Pechersk district, missile debris hit a 22-floor residential building, resulting in tragedy. In the Dnipro district, a drone or missile struck a 9-story building, causing the deaths of two people. In Rusanivka, a drone entered an apartment, leading to the death of two more individuals. In the Darnytskyi district, a hit was recorded on a non-residential building, and in the Sviatoshyn district, a non-residential premises was affected.
Furthermore, a four-story residential building was damaged in Bila Tserkva. In Odesa region, six people were injured due to the attack, including two children. In total, Russia used 22 missiles of various types and over 460 drones, targeting energy infrastructure and facilities ensuring normal life.
As a result of the attack, over 40,000 consumers in Kyiv region remain without electricity. Emergency shutdowns were applied to stabilize the energy system. Emergency services are working at all impact and debris sites, trying to save the lives of the victims. Authorities emphasize that saving lives is a critically important task and note that it is necessary to ensure the supply of weapons and air defense systems to protect the population.
This attack is yet another evidence of the escalation of military actions on the territory of Ukraine, leading to significant human and material losses.
