Inauguration of a New Coalition Government

A key development on that day will be the appointment of Tom Berendsen, a Member of the European Parliament since 2019, as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. He will replace David van Weel, who is set to become the Minister of Justice.
The new €23 million energy assistance package is designated for purchasing gas and repairing damaged infrastructure. With this addition, the Netherlands' total contribution to Ukraine's energy sector for 2026 will reach €133 million. Furthermore, €250 million will be allocated to procure ammunition for Ukrainian F-16 jets in the United States, bringing the total ammunition support to €700 million.
