Ukrainian blogger and musician Nicholas Karma has responded to online criticism regarding the appearance of his Doberman, Archie—specifically comments about the dog’s ears and tail. In a video, Karma stated that he sees no reason to alter the animal’s looks. Social media users have frequently suggested that the dog’s ears should have been cropped, a point Karma addressed by noting that he receives such remarks on a regular basis.
Archie’s Background
Archie came to Karma when he was just one month old. By the time Karma took him in, the Doberman’s tail had already been docked. Karma explained that this procedure had been performed before Archie was even a week old. He emphasized that, if it were up to him, he would not have docked any tails at all, as he believes there is no reason to put the animal through such suffering:
