The German government is considering how to involve U.S. President Donald Trump in the meeting of EU leaders. The meeting is scheduled for September 4 in Paris and will focus on discussing security guarantees for Ukraine.

German government spokesman Stefan Cornelius told reporters in Berlin that Trump's possible participation is being discussed by European leaders at the meeting in Paris.

'I cannot predict anything, but the question of involving the U.S. president is currently being discussed,' Cornelius said in a comment to Sky News.

The planned gathering of European leaders is initiated by French President Emmanuel Macron. The main goal of the meeting is to continue the dialogue on providing security guarantees for Ukraine in the context of the conflict.

Participants in the meeting include key figures in European politics, such as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. If Trump decides to join the meeting, it could significantly broaden the discussion and bring an American perspective to European initiatives.

Conclusion:
The German government is considering the possibility of involving U.S. President Donald Trump in the meeting of European leaders in Paris, dedicated to discussing security guarantees for Ukraine. This could add a new dimension to the discussions and deepen cooperation between the EU and the USA.
