Awards for the best athletes and coaches of July 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine has recognized the best athletes, coaches, and sports organizations of July 2026. The award ceremony took place at the Olympic House as part of the competition 'Best Athlete of the Month'. The laureates were:

  • Alina Polozyuk - best athlete
  • Larisa Pavlenko - Alina's coach
  • Yelizaveta Voznyuk - best young athlete
  • Roman Bundz - coach of Yelizaveta
  • Ukrainian Fencing Federation
  • Ukrainian Canoe Federation

Alina Polozyuk won a bronze medal at the World Fencing Championship, which became a significant achievement for her and her coach Larisa Pavlenko, who received the title of best coach of July 2026. Yelizaveta Voznyuk was recognized as the best young athlete due to her three silver medals from the world and European junior championships in rowing. Her personal mentor, Roman Bundz, also received an award as the best coach of the young athlete.

The Ukrainian Fencing Federation received an award, which was accepted by its president Mykhailo Ilyashev, and the Ukrainian Canoe Federation was also recognized for its achievements. NOC President Vadym Huttsait noted that

'these victories are an important step towards the upcoming Olympic Games'
