Unpublished Song of Stepan Higa: What We Know
Before his death, the people's artist of Ukraine Stepan Higa left an unpublished song that never saw the light of day. This was revealed by the singer's friend - comedian Hryhoriy Drapak. He disclosed details about the new composition in a comment for the program 'Lviv Speaks', reports 'Glavcom'.
According to Hryhoriy Drapak, Stepan Higa did not manage to record his new song before his tragic death. There is only an arrangement of this song.
The Future of Stepan Higa's Song
There is a possibility that descendants will take on the task of continuing to work on this composition. Hryhoriy Drapak noted that Higa's younger namesake should record the song and share it with the public.
The comedian also shared his impressions of Stepan Higa's song. He described it as 'very beautiful, sincere, and kind,' characterizing all of his friend's works as full of meaning and goodness. Earlier, the family expressed the intention to preserve and continue the legacy of Stepan Higa so that his creativity and values would live on among people.
On December 15, the people’s artist of Ukraine Stepan Higa was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
During the funeral, the priest planted a fir tree on the singer's grave, as noted in the song 'In Paradise Garden'. However, he promised to replace it with a suitable tree in the spring, given favorable conditions.
The unpublished song of Stepan Higa remained only in the form of an arrangement, but there is a possibility that his descendants will continue its creation and present it to the public.
