Nova Poshta Announces New Delivery Rates
Ukraine's leading courier company, Nova Poshta, has increased its domestic shipping prices, effective April 13. The base cost for services has risen by at least 10 hryvnias. This nationwide price adjustment affects costs based on shipment weight and delivery type. Despite the hike, the company will continue to offer several key services for free.
What's Still Free and What Has Changed
The list of services that remain free of charge includes:
- company-branded document envelopes,
- packaging for small parcels,
- in-transit address changes,
- declared value commission for items under 500 hryvnias.
Prices for parcel storage, the 'Punkt Peredachi' (handover point) service, surcharges for shipments from villages, and packaging fees for medium and large shipments have remained unchanged.
Under the new tariff structure, sending documents now costs 70 UAH for intracity delivery and 80 UAH nationwide. Parcels up to 2 kg cost 70 UAH within a city and 90 UAH across Ukraine. For packages up to 10 kg, the price is 115 UAH (intracity) and 135 UAH (nationwide). Delivery for parcels up to 30 kg is set at 180 UAH and 200 UAH, respectively. For cargo over 30 kg, the rate is 7 UAH per kg for intracity delivery and starts at 11 UAH per kg for intercity delivery, depending on the tariff zone.
"We are facing increased costs for fuel, electricity, and partner services, along with a general rise in operational expenses," - Nova Poshta representatives stated.
This price revision reflects the company's need to adapt to rising operational costs driven by global economic pressures. As a major player in Ukraine's logistics sector, Nova Poshta's decision to maintain some free services may help it retain customer loyalty during a challenging economic period for the country. The move is a common response among delivery services worldwide grappling with inflation and higher fuel prices.
As Nova Poshta adjusts its pricing structure, it's important to stay informed about other upcoming changes in the logistics sector. For instance, Ukraine's postal service is set to revise parcel rates starting in 2026, which may further impact shipping costs and service offerings. Understanding these developments can help consumers make informed decisions about their shipping needs.
